The prelims start at 6 p.m. ET, while the main UFC Fight Night card is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. ET. There’s plenty on the line in UFC DFS tournaments, cash games and 50-50s on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings. Derek Brunson and Edmen Shahbazyan will headline the event, as the two top-10 middleweights look to move up in the UFC rankings, making for plenty of tough decisions while crafting your MMA DFS strategy.

Who can you trust with your UFC DFS picks for Saturday’s action since the UFC Fight Night DFS fighter pool also includes established veterans like Jennifer Maia, Kevin Holland and Ed Herman? Before making your UFC DFS picks for Saturday, be sure to see the latest UFC DFS advice from SportsLine’s Mike McClure

McClure is a predictive data engineer and DFS pro with almost $2 million in career winnings. He’s crushed his DFS selections recently, producing tournament rosters that have cashed huge in multiple sports over the past few years.

At UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till last Saturday, McClure was all over Khamzat Chimaev as one of his top picks. The result: Chimaev scored a first-round knockout win over Rhys McKee, and anybody who followed McClure’s advice was well on their way to building a winning lineup.

Now, McClure has set his sights on Saturday’s UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahbazyan card at the UFC Apex Facility. You can only see them here.

Top UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahbazyan DFS predictions

For UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahbazyan, McClure is high on Edmen Shahbazyan ($9,100 on DraftKings, $20 on FanDuel). The 22-year-old is one of the top prospects in the sport and already making his fifth UFC appearance after earning his way into the company on Dana White’s Contender Series back in 2018.

Shahbazyan is a perfect 11-0 and has recorded three consecutive first-round stoppages entering Saturday’s bout with Derek Brunson (20-7). The latter has been knocked out in the first round four times in his career and Shahbazyan’s impressive power (nine knockouts) could spell trouble for the 16-fight UFC veteran.

Part of McClure’s optimal UFC DFS strategy also includes rostering Frankie Saenz ($7,600 on DraftKings, $14 on FanDuel). The 39-year-old bantamweight has taken on several critical fights in his career against the likes of Urijah Faber and Eddie Wineland.

While he lost his last fight to Marlon Vera over 16 months ago, he managed wins over Enrique Briones and Merab Dvalishvili in the two fights prior. Saenz is the more active striker (3.97 significant strikes per minute to 3.67 for Jonathan Martinez) and also the more aggressive wrestler, sticking 1.77 takedowns per 15 minutes to Martinez’s 0.51.

How to make UFC DFS picks

McClure is also targeting a value fighter who is a must-roster because his fight is a huge mismatch. This pick could be the difference between cashing huge in MMA DFS or going home with nothing. You can see all of McClure’s MMA DFS picks and advice here.
