According to TMZ Sports, the son of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was arrested earlier this week after allegedly stabbing his neighbor multiple times. 28-year old Adam Abdul-Jabbar was charged with one count of assault with a deadly weapon.

Authorities informed TMZ Sports that the police responded to a call of a reported stabbing around 10 p.m. on June 9 in San Clemente, California.

“The suspect, who is the neighbor of the victim, was arrested without incident,” a police spokesperson said.

The victim reportedly was taken to a nearby hospital and said to have “multiple non-life threatening injuries” as a result of the alleged attack.

An investigation is underway regarding the alleged crime and Abdul-Jabbar has been released from police custody in the meantime. TMZ was unable to reach the Abdul-Jabbar family for comment regarding the situation.

Adam is one of Abdul-Jabbar’s five children and also appeared alongside the former Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks star in an episode of “Full House” back in 1995, and also an episode of “Celebrity Family Feud” with his father back in 2017.
