What would an NFL season be without constant monitoring of the injury reports? In a physical game, the health of a team can be as important as anything else, and already we’ve got quite a few big names to track entering the second week of regular-season action. Who’s missing practice? Who’s in danger of possibly sitting out Week 2?

We’ve got everything you need to know in this league-wide injury report, complete with game-day designations for “Thursday Night Football” and Wednesday practice reports for everyone else.

Cincy will be limited along the D-line, but more notable are the club’s omissions from the final report. Starting defensive end Sam Hubbard (knee) is a full go after starting the week limited, and kicker Randy Bullock (calves) is apparently ready for a shot at redemption after two straight full practices.

The Browns remain very banged up, especially on defense — the same unit that surrendered nearly 40 points in Week 1. Both Williams and Johnson seem like genuine game-time decisions and could be more likely to sit because of the short week. Landry, meanwhile, is probably more likely to suit up after playing through pain in the opener.

Wednesday practice report notes

Rams at Eagles (PK)

Rams tight end Gerald Everett left Sunday night’s game against the Cowboys with a back injury, and he was not on the practice field Wednesday. Head coach Sean McVay maintains that he will be OK and should have a chance to suit up on Sunday.

The Eagles got some great news with the return of running back Miles Sanders (hamstring) and right tackle Lane Johnson (ankle) to practice. Both starters sat out Week 1 and were sorely missed. Assuming they play, as expected, they should both help quarterback Carson Wentz rebound against Los Angeles. Philly was, however, missing starting defensive end Brandon Graham (concussion) on Wednesday.

Giants at Bears (-5.5)

Linebacker Carter Coughlin was the only Giant who missed practice on Wednesday due to a hamstring injury. Wide receiver Golden Tate was limited with a hamstring injury while linebacker Tae Crowder was a full participant after also battling a hamstring issue.

Bears linebacker Robert Quinn, who missed the season opener against the Lions with an ankle injury, was a limited participant on Wednesday, as was Khalil Mack (knee).

Falcons at Cowboys (-4.5)

Falcons left tackle Jake Matthews was held out of practice on Wednesday due to a knee injury he sustained in the loss to the Seahawks. Cornerback Kendall Sheffield was out due to the foot injury that prevented him from playing in Week 1, and Charles Harris missed practice because of the ankle injury that left him inactive for the season opener. Wide receiver Julio Jones was limited with a hamstring injury and defensive tackle Marlon Davidson was limited with a knee injury.

Cornerback Jourdan Lewis was the only player who was mentioned on the Cowboys’ Wednesday injury report, but he was a full participant with an ankle injury. However, the Cowboys lost multiple players to major injuries on Sunday night as well.

49ers (-7) at Jets

Star tight end George Kittle did not practice on Wednesday after he suffered a knee injury against the Cardinals. It’s unknown if he will practice at all this week or be ready for their matchup with the Jets. San Francisco also could be down multiple cornerbacks against New York, with Richard Sherman going to injured reserve and Ahkello Witherspoon (concussion) missing practice. There was some good news, however, as wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk and center Ben Garland were full participants in practice after not dressing in Week 1.

Jets running back La’Mical Perine missed practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury while offensive tackle Mekhi Becton (knee), wide receiver Jamison Crowder (hamstring) and linebacker Avery Williamson (hamstring) were limited participants. Le’Veon Bell was already placed on IR this week, so the Jets are behind the 8-ball at running back.

Panthers at Buccaneers (-9)

Carolina may be a little shorthanded on defense, with DE Yetur Gross-Matos (eye) limited at Wednesday’s practice and DT Kawann Short (foot) missing the session altogether.

Tom Brady could be down a top target in this divisional battle, as WR Chris Godwin (concussion) missed practice and will have to clear concussion protocol before returning. Coach Bruce Arians said he’ll be “very cautious” with the wideout, who didn’t show symptoms on Monday or Tuesday, so Week 2 could be off the table.

Lions at Packers (-6)

WR Kenny Golladay (hamstring) was a no-go at practice for Detroit on Wednesday, and while it’s too early to rule him out after the Lions held him out of Week 1 for precautionary reasons, he’s not necessarily off to a great start to play in Green Bay.

Green Bay is dealing with a couple of injuries on the defensive side of the ball, as defensive lineman Kenny Clark and linebacker Randy Ramsey missed practice on Wednesday due to groin injuries. Wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown was limited with a knee injury.

Bills (-5.5) at Dolphins

WR John Brown (foot) was absent from practice despite cleanly playing more than 90 percent of Buffalo’s offensive snaps in a big Week 1 victory. If he doesn’t return by Friday, Gabriel Davis could be in line for a big role opposite Stefon Diggs. On defense, LB Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder) was also sidelined from Wednesday’s work.

In Miami, WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) reportedly has a “real chance” to return against Buffalo after an early exit from Week 1.

Broncos at Steelers (-7.5)

Denver RB Phillip Lindsay (toe) did not practice Wednesday and is reportedly set to miss a few weeks, but coach Vic Fangio deemed the former Pro Bowler “day-to-day” and would not rule him out against Pittsburgh. Don’t count on Lindsay playing. WR Courtland Sutton (shoulder) was limited at practice after missing Week 1 with an AC joint sprain, at least giving him a shot to make his debut in Steel City. More good news out wide: Rookie K.J. Hamler (hamstring) was a full participant on Wednesday.

The Steelers had several important players miss practice due to injury on Wednesday. Among them were WR Diontae Johnson (toe), WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee), RB James Conner (ankle), G David DeCastro (knee), OT Alejandro Villanueva (illness) and DL Stephon Tuitt (Achilles). All eyes will be on Conner after Mike Tomlin didn’t rule him out for this matchup early in the week.

Vikings at Colts (-3)

Cornerback Cameron Dantzler was the only Vikings player that missed practice on Wednesday due to a rib injury. The defense remains without Danielle Hunter, who was placed on IR before Week 1.

Marlon Mack was placed on injured reserve with an Achilles injury, but he’s not the only offensive player that might miss the Colts’ Week 2 matchup against the Vikings. Tight end Jack Doyle missed practice on Wednesday with ankle and knee injuries and wide receiver Zach Pascal missed practice with an ankle injury. Additionally, safety Malik Hooker was out with an illness and Julian Blackmon was limited with a knee injury.

Jaguars at Titans (-9)

Jags pass rusher Josh Allen (calf) was expected to miss the start of this week’s practice while dealing with cramps, but he could still be on track to suit up against Tennessee.

The Titans have a couple of injuries worth discussing, as wide receivers Corey Davis (hamstring) and A.J. Brown (knee) missed practice on Wednesday. Jadeveon Clowney was also sidelined with a hip injury, as was safety Kenny Vaccaro with an illness.

Washington at Cardinals (-6.5)

Washington linebacker Thomas Davis (calf) and cornerback Kendall Fuller (knee) were full participants in practice on Wednesday after missing the season opener against the Eagles. Linebacker Cole Holcomb was limited with a knee injury.

The Cardinals are dealing with a bevy of injuries, as safety Jalen Thompson (ankle), tight end Maxx Williams (ankle), offensive lineman Mason Cole (hamstring) and linebacker Kyle Fitts (wrist) did not suit up for practice on Wednesday. Rookie offensive lineman Josh Jones was a limited participant with an ankle injury.

Chiefs (-8.5) at Chargers

Three Chiefs players were injured during the season opener against the Texans, and all three were held out of practice on Wednesday. Defensive end Alex Okafor is still dealing with a hamstring injury, defensive tackle Khalen Saunders is nursing an elbow injury and cornerback Charvarius Ward was out with a fractured hand.

The Chargers could be without one of their best players on Sunday, as defensive end Joey Bosa sat out of practice on Wednesday due to a triceps injury. Head coach Anthony Lynn said that it’s too early to tell what his game designation will be, but they will continue to monitor the situation. Trai Turner missed the season opener against the Bengals with a knee injury, and he sat out of practice on Wednesday as well. Center Mike Pouncey was also absent due to a hip injury. Additionally, running back Justin Jackson missed practice due to a quad injury, which means rookie Joshua Kelley could get more playing time this week.

Ravens (-7) at Texans

The Ravens aren’t dealing with many injuries after their beatdown of the Browns on Sunday. Only defensive tackle Justin Madubuike (knee), wide receiver Chris Moore (finger), cornerback Jimmy Smith (hip) and offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley (hip) missed practice on Wednesday, while running back Justice Hill was limited with a thigh injury.

RB Duke Johnson (ankle) participated in Wednesday’s practice after leaving Week 1 and could still be on track to back up David Johnson against Baltimore.

Patriots at Seahawks (-4)

All of the Patriots were present on the practice field this Wednesday, but a handful of players were limited participants. Among them were wide receivers Julian Edelman (knee) and N’Keal Harry (shoulder), as well as defensive tackle Adam Butler (shoulder), linebacker Brandon Copeland (knee) and cornerback Jonathan Jones (foot).

Some good news came out of Seattle on Wednesday, as wide receiver Philip Dorsett returned to the practice field as a limited participant after missing Week 1 due to a foot injury. Offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi (pec) and defensive end Rasheem Green (neck) were held out of practice.

Saints (-5.5) at Raiders

Star Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) is all but guaranteed to miss not only Week 2 but possibly several games afterward now that his high-ankle sprain is reportedly worse than initially anticipated.

The Raiders’ first report won’t come out until Thursday, but there are several key injuries to monitor, with tackle Trent Brown and linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski just a few of the players who had to leave Sunday’s win over the Panthers.
