Through 3 Quarters

Both the Dallas Mavericks and the Golden State Warriors have kept the scorekeepers busy with 190 between them three quarters in. Dallas has emerged as the frontrunner and is ahead of Golden State 99-91.

The Mavericks have been led by point guard Luka Doncic, who so far has 35 points and seven assists along with nine boards. One thing to keep an eye out for is Dwight Powell’s foul situation as he currently sits at four.

Shooting guard Jordan Poole has led the way so far for the Dubs, as he has 21 points.

Golden State @ Dallas

Current Records: Golden State 43-19; Dallas 37-25

What to Know

The Dallas Mavericks will be returning home after a five-game road trip. They will take on the Golden State Warriors at 8:30 p.m. ET on Thursday at American Airlines Center. The Mavericks will be strutting in after a win while Golden State will be stumbling in from a defeat.

Dallas didn’t have too much breathing room in their contest with the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 109-104 victory. The team accrued 71 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win. Dallas can attribute much of their success to point guard Jalen Brunson, who had 22 points.

Meanwhile, the Dubs ended up a good deal behind the Minnesota Timberwolves when they played on Tuesday, losing 129-114. Despite the loss, Golden State got a solid performance out of point guard Stephen Curry, who had 34 points along with five rebounds.

Barring any buzzer beaters, Dallas is expected to win a tight contest. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a five-game streak of ATS wins.

The Mavericks are now 37-25 while the Warriors sit at 43-19. A pair of defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: Dallas comes into the matchup boasting the second fewest points allowed per game in the league at 103.4. As for the Dubs, they have been holding their opponents to a field goal percentage of 43.50%, which places them second in the league.
