Through 3 Quarters

The Los Angeles Clippers were expected to take an ‘L’ in this one, but so far it isn’t playing out to script. It’s anybody’s game after three quarters, but the Clippers are ahead of the Dallas Mavericks 70-67.

Los Angeles has been relying on point guard Reggie Jackson, who has 16 points and five assists in addition to five boards, and small forward Terance Mann, who has 15 points along with eight rebounds. Point guard Luka Doncic (22 points) has been the top scorer for Dallas.

The Mavericks have been used to carrying a lead into the fourth quarter lately, so we’ll see how they respond to the deficit.

Who’s Playing

Los Angeles @ Dallas

Current Records: Los Angeles 27-30; Dallas 33-23

What to Know

The Dallas Mavericks have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Los Angeles Clippers at 8:30 p.m. ET Feb. 12 at American Airlines Center. The Mavericks should still be feeling good after a victory, while Los Angeles will be looking to get back in the win column.

Dallas is hoping for another win. They took their contest against Los Angeles this past Thursday 112-105. Point guard Luka Doncic took over for Dallas, finishing with 51 points (a whopping 46% of their total) and six dimes in addition to nine rebounds.

Dallas is the favorite in this one, with an expected 6.5-point margin of victory. They are currently four-for-four against the spread in their most recent games, a trend bettors might want to take into account.

Los Angeles’ loss took them down to 27-30 while Dallas’ victory pulled them up to 33-23. This past Thursday the Mavericks relied heavily on Doncic, who shot 7-for-14 from downtown and finished with 51 points, six assists and nine boards. It will be up to Los Angeles’ defense to limit his damage this past Saturday.
