Five things to know about the Pelicans on Oct. 28, 2019

1)      Week 2 of the NBA schedule for New Orleans consists of three more games against Western Conference opponents, part of a stretch of five consecutive intraconference matchups. Two of this week’s three opponents faced each other Sunday, as Oklahoma City rolled to a 120-92 win over Golden State. The Warriors (0-2) play the second game of a back-to-back tonight in the Crescent City. Later in the week, New Orleans (0-3) will host Denver (2-0) on Thursday and visit OKC (1-2) on Saturday afternoon.

2)      In what’s been a relatively parity-filled first six days of the 82-game schedule, Denver is one of only five teams that are still undefeated. Five teams do not have a victory, a group that will be thinned by at least one at the final buzzer in the Smoothie King Center.

3)      Tickets are available for Monday’s Golden State-New Orleans meeting at 7 p.m. Pregame coverage on TV and radio begins at 6:30. The game also will air nationally on NBA TV, already the third national TV broadcast for the Pelicans of the regular season.

4)      Monday’s New Orleans Pelicans Podcast will feature guest Tim Roye of Golden State radio. Roye will help preview the early-season tilt between West clubs seeking a first win.

5)      In case you missed it, the Pelicans lost a third straight hard-fought game Saturday, despite Brandon Ingram nearly notching a career high in scoring, finishing with 35 points. Watch postgame reaction from Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart.
