Brandon Ingram out vs. Rockets due to knee soreness

Roughly 40 minutes before tip-off Monday, the Pelicans announced that Brandon Ingram (right knee soreness) will be out for the game vs. Houston. Josh Hart will start in Ingram’s place at the small forward spot. The other projected starters are Jrue Holiday, JJ Redick, Kenrich Williams and Derrick Favors.

Ingram appeared in each of New Orleans’ first nine games, averaging a team-high 25.9 points. As a result of his injury absence, the Pelicans (2-7) will use their seventh different starting lineup of the season vs. Houston (6-3).
