Jonathan Kuminga has agreed to sign a two-year, $48.5 million deal with the Golden State Warriors to end his protracted restricted free agency. The Warriors recently increased their two-year offer by $8 million to Kuminga, who is represented by Aaron Turner.
Kuminga will earn approximately $15 million than his qualifying offer would have paid with the Warriors. Kuminga could have also signed a three-year, $75 million deal with less flexibility for himself over the short-term.
The Warriors hold a team option for next season that will be designed to be renegotiated during the 2026 offseason. Golden State will likely explore their trade options on Kuminga beginning in January when he becomes trade eligible.
The Sacramento Kings and Phoenix Suns had the most serious interest in acquiring Kuminga via a sign-and-trade, but lacked the mechanisms to get a deal done with the Warriors.
Kuminga averaged 15.3 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists last season for the Warriors.
