The Milwaukee Bucks are not giving up on this season, despite sitting in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, 2.5 games out of the final spot in the Play-In Tournament. Milwaukee expects star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo to return soon to aid in the team’s postseason push.
The Bucks are also looking at the buyout for roster help, having already signed guard Cam Thomas to a contract. Milwaukee also recently welcomed guard Kevin Porter Jr. back from injury.
Milwaukee head coach Doc Rivers has reiterated several times that there are no plans to shut Antetokounmpo down for the season. The star forward is currently dealing with a second occurrence of a right calf strain, but seems to be closing in on a return.
Beyond this season, the Bucks and Antetokounmpo are putting discussions about his future with the franchise until this summer. Antetokounmpo will be eligible to sign an extension in October.
