Ja Morant had a triumphant return to the court for the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday. Morant led Memphis to a victory over the Orlando Magic in the NBA London Game. It was a throwback performance for the Grizzlies point guard, who was the best player on the floor in London on Sunday.
Following the game, Morant told Marc Stein exactly how he hopes things go with him prominently mentioned in trade rumors.
“I’m a very loyal guy,” Morant said. “I got a (Grizzlies) logo on my back, so that should tell you exactly where I want to be.”
Despite having various reported run-ins with teammates and Grizzlies leadership, Morant has not openly asked for a trade from the Grizzlies. It was recently reported that Memphis is opening to listening to offers for their star point guard, but that trade market doesn’t seem to be developing very quickly.
