UFC 238 odds, predictions: Proven MMA expert picks Cejudo vs. Moraes, Shevchenko vs. Eye

Henry Cejudo is used to being the underdog, and he will try to prove his doubters wrong again Saturday night in the main event of UFC 238. The flyweight champion is moving up to face top-ranked contender Marlon Moraes for the vacant bantamweight title. The 13-bout card from the United Center in Chicago features the main card at 10 p.m. ET, with preliminary bouts set for 8 p.m. ET. Cejudo (14-2) pulled one of the biggest UFC title-fight upsets in recent memory when he knocked off longtime champ Demetrious Johnson as more than a 4-1 underdog. He then beat TJ Dillashaw as a 2-1 underdog in his first title defense. Moraes (22-5-1) is the former World Series of Fighting champion who hopes to make the most of his first UFC title bout. Moraes is a -120 sportsbook favorite (risk $120 to win $100), while Cejudo is +100 (risk $100 to win $100) in the latest Moraes vs. Cejudo odds. In the co-main event, women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko (-1,400) faces top-ranked challenger Jessica Eye, who is +925 in the Shevchenko vs. Eye odds. Before you making any UFC 238 picks, be sure to see the predictions from SportsLine’s MMA expert Kyle Marley.

Marley won the first-ever “ToutMaster” UFC betting contest sponsored by MMAOddsBreaker and appears regularly on multiple MMA betting and daily Fantasy shows. He watches every single fight for every single UFC card and does extensive research before each event.

Over the past year, $100 bettors who have followed Marley’s picks are up nearly $22,000. It’s an astonishing cash rate that shows the depth of Marley’s knowledge. Just last week at UFC Fight Night 153, Marley told SportsLine members to back Frank Camacho (-110) against Nick Hein (-110) in a lightweight bout. He reasoned that Camacho’s striking skills and volume would be the difference, and that’s exactly what happened as he managed a late second-round knockout.

What’s more, at UFC Fight Night 151 three weeks ago, Marley went a stunning 11-1 and netted $100 bettors nearly $1,000 in profit! His selections included accurately predicting that Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone (+110) would pull the upset of Al Iaquinta (-130) in the main event. Anyone who has followed Marley’s advice is up huge.

Now, with UFC 238 fast approaching, Marley has carefully studied every matchup on the 13-fight card, identified the best value in the UFC odds and released his MMA picks for every single fight. He’s sharing those selections only over at SportsLine.

Marley knows the main event could evolve into a proverbial super fight as it involves two of the UFC’s fastest-rising stars.

Cejudo, 32, captured the flyweight title in August 2018 with a stunning upset of long-reigning former champion Demetrious Johnson, who had won nine straight fights. Cejudo followed up that performance with another upset of Dillashaw, who moved down a weight class in an effort to become a double UFC champion. Cejudo stopped Dillashaw 32 seconds into the first round.

Moraes, 31, has won four straight UFC bouts following a loss in his debut with the promotion. He is the former World Series of Fighting bantamweight champion who left the promotion following 11 consecutive victories and five title defenses. He is coming off a submission win in a February rematch against Raphael Assuncao, who won their first match in 2017.

One of Marley’s UFC 238 picks that we’ll give away: He is backing Pedro Munhoz (+115) to pull the upset against Aljamain Sterling (-135) in an undercard battle of top-five bantamweights.

Sterling (17-4), ranked third, seeks his fourth straight victory while the fourth-ranked Munhoz (18-3) looks for his third consecutive knockout after stopping Cody Garbrandt in his last outing.

“I think Munhoz is the better overall striker, and he is more dangerous as well,” Marley told SportsLine. “I would say that Sterling is the better grappler and wrestler, but taking Munhoz down could put him in danger of being submitted.”

Marley also has strong picks for Cejudo vs. Moraes, Shevchenko vs. Eye and every other bout on the stacked UFC 238 card. You absolutely need to see them before locking in any UFC 238 picks of your own.
