TOP STORY: Juve offer Man United trio to land Pogba

The transfer sagas never end at Manchester United, with Tuttosport reporting on two of Red Devils’ fans favourite subjects: Paul Pogba and Paulo Dybala — among others.

The Italian outlet reports that Juventus have sent a delegation consisting of sporting director Fabio Paratici, vice-chairman Pavel Nedved and super-agent Mino Raiola to England to negotiate a deal to bring Pogba back to Turin. But with United holding out for an exorbitant amount of money in their negotiations with Real Madrid, the Bianconeri have gotten creative.

Juve reportedly have offered a swap deal including Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and Blaise Matuidi to bring the France World Cup winner back to the club he called home from 2012 to 2016.

Barely 24 hours after United reportedly rejected Madrid’s swap offer of James Rodriguez and €30 million for Pogba, will Juventus’ player-exchange proposal be any different?

Eriksen is Plan B

According to AS, Man United are beginning to plan for life without Pogba — and Real Madrid are creating contingencies should they fail to bring him to the Bernabeu. And that’s where Christian Eriksen comes in.

The Madrid-based outlet writes that United have offered the 27-year-old a five-year contract that would see him earn wages on par with what Pogba is making at Old Trafford. And he’s intrigued by the offer.

But his priority remains Madrid. And if Los Blancos are unable to meet United’s asking price for Pogba, they could sign Eriksen and Ajax maestro Donny van de Beek for less money than it would take to secure Pogba.

Tap-ins

– On Monday, we brought you news that suggested Everton were preparing to meet Crystal Palace’s £65m valuation of Wilfried Zaha, but that story has since been advanced. The Sun reports that Palace’s valuation is actually a staggering £120m, but the Toffees feel they can meet it by offering £65 in cash plus striker Cenk Tosun and midfielder James McCarthy.

– Arsenal have turned to 20-year-old RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano as a potential alternative to Daniele Rugani, who has so far eluded the Gunners, but the Mirror writes that Arsenal have been put off by Leipzig’s £50m valuation of Upamecano. Back to square one, then.

– David Beckham has set his sights on Gennaro Gattuso to become Inter Miami’s first manager, according to the Miami Herald.
