Before entering any Timberwolves vs. Rockets picks, you’ll want to see the NBA predictions from the model at SportsLine.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every NBA game 10,000 times, and last season it returned a whopping $4,280 on its top-rated NBA spread and money line picks. It’s already returned almost $1,800 in profit on all its top-rated NBA picks during the 2019-20 season and entered Week 11 on a blistering 26-13 run on all top-rated NBA spread picks. Anybody who has followed it has seen huge returns.

Now, it has simulated Timberwolves vs. Rockets 10,000 times and the results are in. We can tell you that the model is leaning over, and it’s also generated a point-spread pick that is hitting in almost 60 percent of simulations. You can only see the pick at SportsLine.

The model knows that James Harden is continuing to have one of the greatest offensive season in NBA history. Harden is averaging 37.9 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game and shooting 45.2 percent from the floor, which is his best mark since 2013-14. Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook continues to improve as he figures out his role within the Houston offense. Westbrook is averaging just over 27 points per game since the start of December after averaging just over 22 points per game in the first six weeks of the year.

For the Timberwolves, the model also knows that they’ve been playing much better basketball since Christmas, winning five of their last eight. On Thursday, the Timberwolves beat the Trail Blazers 116-102 with Andrew Wiggins leading Minnesota with 23 points and eight assists. With Karl-Anthony Towns listed as questionable again with a knee injury on Saturday, Wiggins will have to provide the offensive spark again. He’s averaging 24.0 points per game so far this season.
