So desperate, in fact, that they have taken to their Twitter accounts in their thousands in a bid to inspire Burnley striker Ashley Barnes when the Clarets host the Reds’ title rivals Manchester City on Sunday.

It all began on Wednesday night, following City’s 2-0 win at Manchester United, when YouTuber and Burnley fan Vizeh issued a call to arms
