MATCH POINTS

Samantha Stosur has won both of her previous meetings with Sofia Kenin. Stosur defeated the American in the first round of Strasbourg in 2018 (on clay), 6-3, 6-2, and in the first round of Eastbourne this year (on grass), 6-2, 6-3. This will be their first clash on hardcourt.

Kenin is aiming for her third WTA singles title of the season. She claimed her first-ever WTA singles title on the hardcourts of Hobart in January, and notched a second career singles title on the grass of Mallorca in June. 20-year-old Kenin, currently ranked a career-high World No.20, also reached the final at Acapulco in March, before losing to Wang Yafan.

2011 US Open champion Stosur is into her first WTA singles final since claiming the crown in Strasbourg in May of 2017. Former World No.4 Stosur seeks the 10th WTA singles title of her career, and her first hardcourt title since triumphing in Osaka in 2014.

Alexa Guarachi and Giuliana Olmos are each seeking their second WTA doubles title, and their first as a team. Laura Siegemund aims to win her fifth WTA doubles title, while former WTA Doubles World No.1 Peng Shuai is going for her 23rd WTA doubles title. Peng has previously won the Guangzhou doubles title in 2007, 2013, and 2016 — each time with a different partner.
