Five things to know about the Pelicans on Nov. 20, 2019

1)      There was good news on two fronts Tuesday, as New Orleans (5-9) got a pair of injured players back on the court and defeated Portland by a 115-104 margin. It was the Pelicans’ third straight win at home and improved their record to 4-2 in the last six games overall, after starting 1-7.

2)      Watch postgame reaction from Kenrich Williams, Jrue Holiday, Jaxson Hayes and Alvin Gentry.

3)      Listen to the Pelicans Radio Calls of the Game.

4)      Watch Brandon Ingram highlights in his first game action after sitting out last week’s four games. Ingram also joined the TV broadcast postgame to discuss the night.

5)      On Western Conference Wednesday, the Pelicans are in the midst of a stretch of 11 straight games against their own conference, off to a 2-0 start with wins over Golden State and Portland. New Orleans is currently 2.5 games behind eighth-place Phoenix (7-6), with a Thursday matchup on the slate, broadcast nationally by TNT and locally by Fox Sports New Orleans. New Orleans is actually tied for 10th in the West with three other teams that are exactly 5-9, including Memphis, Oklahoma City and San Antonio. The Pelicans have only played the Thunder among that trio (a loss on Nov. 2), but have Nov. 29 and Dec. 1 meetings with OKC. Scanning further up the ladder, fifth-place Dallas (8-5) is just 3.5 games in front of NOLA.
