HEAD COACH ALVIN GENTRY

Coach, it starts on the defensive end and you got it done again as the defense continues to play very solid…
“I thought when we started the game we ran to the ball, I thought our bigs did a good job of dropping and trying to keep Dame (Damian Lillard) and CJ (McCollum) out of the paint, I thought we did a pretty good job of that, then it was just a matter of getting out to the three point line to the shooters and challenging shots. The two (of their) three pointers they made, one of them was a bad pass at the end of the quarter and the other was a turnover so I thought we did a really good job of just getting back out and challenging threes.”

You played twelve of your available thirteen before halftime…
“We want to keep fresh guys out there, that’s one of the things we got to do also. We got into a rhythm there at the end and we were just going to use timeouts to rest guys, but I thought everyone that went out there contributed in some way.”

GUARD LONZO BALL

How big was it to have so many different guys contributing to this win?
“It was a team win, everybody came in and did what they were supposed to do. E’Twaun (Moore) and Kenrich (Williams) pushed it in that 4th quarter, so it was a team win.”

On how big Derrick Favors was tonight:
“Favors missed a lot of time, so I’m not worried about him at all. I know what he can do, I played against him in Utah. You can see he is getting his legs back under him and getting back to doing big things.”

FORWARD BRANDON INGRAM

On the game:
“It was great, just the way we did it, I think with the guys coming off the bench and giving us a big spark. Defensive effort with everybody locked in and just giving something for the team, being effective on the basketball court. I think it was really cool.”

On the progress in the defense:
“Like I said, I think we are starting to trust each other a little bit more with everything that we are doing. Just the schemes, I think we believe in our schemes, we believe in the things we see on the board, and just follow whatever we see on the board when we come in here and get results.”

GUARD JRUE HOLIDAY

How much does having Derrick Favors back help?
“Huge, smart player, veteran guy who I feel like does a lot for us. Teaches the young guys a lot. Just to be able to have him on the court and have him back healthy is good.”

On contributions from E’Twaun Moore:
“When E’Twaun plays, we win. Somebody that knows himself, knows his game, and been on this team long enough to know what’s going on. He’s going to find ways to put the ball in the basket and at the same time defensively just stay solid. He does what he’s supposed to do.”
